Welcome to the Office of Graduate Studies and Research! Whether you are an undergraduate student looking for research opportunities, a graduate student working toward a degree or certificate, or a faculty member seeking funding for your scholarly work, we are here to support you.
The Graduate Studies and Research office, as the name suggests, has two primary responsibilities. In Graduate Studies, we support the university to maintain its academic standards and ensure high-quality graduate education by advising faculty and staff in the development and revision of graduate programs, coordinating events related to graduate student recruitment and outreach, and training graduate advisors in university and state policies and procedures pertaining to graduate education.
Additionally, the GSR office oversees the university research enterprise. We are responsible for providing the campus community with a full range of pre-award services that facilitate the development, preparation, and submission of grant and contract proposals for extramural funding; post-award services to administer grant-funded projects with full transparency and accountability; and assuring university compliance with federal and sponsor-specific requirements for grants, contracts, and general research activities.
If you need support or guidance in one of these areas, please don't hesitate to reach out to our staff. I wish you great success on your academic journey.
